Choice Sheets

For next year, I would like to continue taking this class but to the next level. I want to learn how to take really good pictures in commercial photography, but yearbook is what really catches my interest. I've wanted to be in yearbook since last year, before I joined commercial photography. The reason I want to take yearbook is because I want to get involved with the school. Being able to go to football games, or track meets and take pictures for everyone at my school to see would be awesome. So I want to take yearbook next year.

My Favorite Cover

This LIFE special edition, "To the Moon and Back," chronicles the first moon landing, brought about by the courage of the Apollo 11 astronauts and the thousands of people who supported their mission. On the cover is a picture of Buzz Aldrin, taken by fellow astronaut Neil Armstrong. Along with color photographs of this historic walk on the moon, there are biographical sketches of Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins. I really like this picture because I like space and astronauts. Also, I love the way the photo is taken. How you can see what he is looking at because of the reflection on his helmet. It is talking about how Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins were the first people to go to the moon and come back to earth.

Magazine Essential Parts

Masthead- It is the title of the magazine cover usually in a different color and very noticeable.

Date Line- The month and year when the magazine was published.

Main Image- The photo, usually taking up the majority of the cover used to catch peoples attention.

Model Credit- Usually on fashion magazines. It gives a compliment to the person on the Main Image.

Coverlines- Information about the Main Image usually different colors.

Main Coverlines- It promotes the use of what it says in the big letters.

Left Third- The left third of the magazine cover is vital for sales in shops where the magazine is not shown full-frontage.

Bar Code- Standard bar ode used by retailers.

Selling Line- Short, sharp description of the title's main marketing point or perhaps setting out its editorial philosophy.

PART #4

I think the best ISO setting had to be 1600. I felt like the pictures came out so much better.

My next best photo was with the ISO of 800.

I was able to create equivalent exposures by adjusting the shutter speed & Aperture.

I learned how to use ISO and Aperture! YAAAAYYY!

Best Photos of 2013

This photo is one of my favorites of 2013 because of the rules used in it. The rules used in the photo are balance & simplicity. The exposure quality has good lighting.

This photo is another one of my favorites because the exposure quality is dark which makes the stars stand out. Also, the rules of photography used in this photo makes me like it. The rules used in this picture are simplicity & framing.

This is also one of my favorites because of the quality exposure. The photo is dark so the fire really stands out. There is some simplicity going on.

1.) My favorite song of 2013 was "Demons" by Imagine Dragons.

2.) My favorite movie of 2013 was "Captain Philips". 

3.) My favorite news story of the year was about the Boston Marathon bombing.

4.) The most important person of 2013 was Kate Upton.

Part 3

1.) One thing I did for the holidays was go to the Holiday in the Park with my girlfriend at Six Flags and I had a lot of fun!

2.) My New Years resolution is to stop drinking soda and get back in top shape because I'm gonna run summer track.

3.) I'm looking forward to 2014 because, now I have all of my friends to spend it with!
